Sheila was born in Pasadena, California and grew up in the San Gabriel Valley with 10 siblings (10 girls and 1 boy-guess who had his own room). She has lived in Orange County and San Diego, California before moving to Prescott, Arizona in 2004.

Sheila's education background is in child care, sociology, and psychology. Her work experience is in child care, technology, management, and of course animal care. Sheila has been in the animal care industry since 1999 and joined VCA Thumb Butte Animal Hospital in 2005.

Sheila has rescued four feathered and furry pets - Ruby, a lilac-crowned Amazon, who whistles the Andy Griffith Theme (out of tune); Heaven, a Moluccan cockatoo, who pretty much does whatever she wants; Harley, a Dogue de Bordeaux, a fancy name for French mastiff, who was adopted at the age of almost 7 years old with a plethora of youthful energy; and to round out the canine family, David, who is a variety of breeds and is obsessed with playing ball every chance he gets.

Sheila's favorite part of working in the veterinary industry are the clients and their pets. Stop by and say hello!
