Dr. Isbell is our newest associate veterinarian, graduating from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in January of 2021.

Dr. Isbell grew up in a military family and spent most of her childhood living overseas in countries like Belgium and Italy. Her family moved back to North Carolina in 2009 to the small, coastal town of Hertford, which she has since called home. While she has always loved animals, her passion for veterinary medicine became apparent while she was a student at UNC. As an undergraduate student, she shadowed the veterinarians at both Timberlyne and Legion Road Animal Hospitals in Chapel Hill, and worked here at Timberlyne briefly as a veterinary assistant. In 2015, Dr. Isbell received her bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After college, she moved back to Hertford and continued to work as a veterinary assistant at a local small animal hospital for several years. She subsequently attended veterinary school at Ross University in St. Kitts and completed her clinical year at Louisiana State University. Dr. Isbell is excited to be back in Chapel Hill and to begin practicing with the team at Timberlyne Animal Hospital!

Dr. Isbell has a wide variety of medical interests, but she particularly enjoys internal medicine, cardiology, and ophthalmology. In her free time, she likes playing with her island kitty, Groot, watching movies, cooking, and traveling.
