Dr. Varley was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. She attended the University of Guelph for her Bachelor degree of Science in biology, and then attended the Ontario Veterinary College where she graduated in 2010. She worked as a general practice veterinarian for 6 years before making the move to emergency medicine. Since then she has been working mainly overnight emergency and critical care, and loves the challenges this brings.
Dr. Varley and her husband recently moved to Tucson and are loving the sunshine. They made the cross country trek with their 3 dogs (Cooper, Frances, and Hank) and one cat (Mini), all of whom were rescues. Since moving, her horse Sage has joined them, and a new rescue kitten has been added to the menagerie.
When not at work or taking care of the furry kids, Dr. Varley's hobbies include horseback riding, yoga, dance, and hiking.
