Meredith Sherrill, Veterinary Specialist

DVM, DACVIM (Internal Medicine)

Internal Medicine

Dr. Meredith Sherrill grew up in the Midwest and received an undergraduate degree in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis. She attended Iowa State University for veterinary school where she obtained her DVM degree with honors. After completing a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Purdue University, Dr. Sherrill completed an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Missouri. She achieved board certification in Small Animal Internal Medicine on completion of her residency.

Dr. Sherrill joined VCA VSNC in 2015; she is excited to be a part of the hospital's collaborative team. While truly enjoying all aspects of internal medicine, Dr. Sherrill has a particular interest in immune mediated disease, hematology, chronic kidney disease, and endocrine disorders. Having previously completed research on cytauxzoonosis (an infectious disease of cats), she now appreciates focusing on clinical veterinary medicine. Dr. Sherrill enjoys the diagnostic process of difficult cases and the chronic management of internal medical conditions, which allows her to develop longer relationships with patients, their owners, and primary care veterinarians.

Outside of work Dr. Sherrill enjoys running, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends in beautiful Colorado. Having grown up with wonderful dogs, she now shares her home with Derby, a small cat with a big personality.
