Dr. Rose is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and an ACVS Fellow in Surgical Oncology. Following graduation from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003, Dr. Rose completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at MSPCA Angell Animal Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts, and then an internship and residency in small animal surgery at VCA Animal Specialty Group in Los Angeles, California. From 2009 until 2012, Dr. Rose was a staff surgeon at VCA VSNC and then worked at Colorado State University from 2012 until 2021. While at Colorado State University, Dr. Rose completed a fellowship in surgical oncology, was the assistant director of a highly specialized translational research program, and mentored veterinary students, interns, residents, surgical fellows and PhD candidates as a Clinical Instructor. Dr. Rose is a lecturer, associate editor for veterinary journals, and serves on veterinary scientific advisory boards. With her extensive background in surgical oncology and research, Dr. Rose is excited to be a participant in the Mars Veterinary Health Oncology Advisory Board to continue advancing cancer care for pets. In her practice, Dr. Rose treats all surgical patients, including orthopedics/fracture repair, soft tissue, laparoscopic, and arthroscopic cases.
Dr. Rose returned home to VCA VSNC in September of 2021 and served as Medical Director until June of 2025. Dr. Rose enjoys an active Colorado lifestyle with her two children and menagerie of animals and continues to volunteer for Wild Rose Mustang Advocacy Group, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) organization that she co-founded in 2018.
