Valarie Romo, DVM, grew up in Oklahoma, attended the University of Oklahoma for her undergraduate education and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State in 1994. We feel very fortunate that she decided to venture to Texas, or else she wouldn't have joined the Angel team in 2006!

Dr. Romo's has a special interest in exotic and pocket pets, as well as advanced dentistry. Her personal pet menagerie includes Bounder the Greyhound, Misty the cat, and two very special gerbils, Austin and Spock.

When not working Dr. Romo enjoys gardening, reading and teaching pre-school at her church. Of course spending time with her husband, two sons and daughter are always at the top of the list!
