Melissa has worked at VCA Animal Health Hospital since February 2021, after moving here from Virginia. She received her bachelor's degree in Organismal Biology in 2015 and is working towards becoming a Credentialed Veterinary Technician. She is Fear Free certified, as well as being certified as a Cat Friendly Veterinary Professional by the AAFP. Her experience includes many years as a zookeeper, with a background in veterinary medicine. She has two cats at home, Anastasia and Calliope.
