What was your first pet?
A stray black and white kitty named Shamu (mom is allergic to fur bearing animals so she lived outside)

Best way to spend a Saturday?
Spending time with family and friends, hiking, camping, walking the beach, playing games, watching movies

What made you join the veterinary medical field?
A passion for helping animals in need that do not have a voice otherwise

What is your favorite part of your job?
Helping educate owners about wellness care that can strengthen their bond with their pets, and allows pets to live happy healthy lives

What do you like to do for fun when you're not working?
Crochet and cross stitch crafts, reading, watching movies, playing games

When did you decide that you wanted to part of the veterinary field?
When I began volunteering with the Feral Cat Coalition and saw the pet overpopulation problem first hand

Do you have any pets of your own?
A black kitty named Coco Beans

Year you started working in the veterinary field?
2013 as a receptionist, then 2014 as an assistant, then a surgical assistant, went to vet school in 2016, graduated and joined the VCA family in 2020

My favorite part working with animals is?
Learning about their personalities and doing my best to make each visit as low stress and positive as possible

Do you have any skills or talents that most people don't know about?
I went to a performing arts middle/high school and have been singing in local and national choirs since the 6th grade

What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?
Dedication, compassion, resiliency

What are some causes you care about?
Trap/Neuter/Return programs, environmental impact reduction, animal welfare

If you could interview anyone from your life living or dead, but not a celebrity, who would it be and why?
My grandmother, she was born into the recession, grew up during world war II, and has lead a rich and full life of service to others

What was the happiest moment of your life?
Celebrating the Gold medals my high school choir, band, and orchestra all received at our first national Heritage Music Festival

What are you proudest of?
Reaching my educational goal of becoming a DVM
