Why do you love your job and/or favorite part of what you do: I love veterinary medicine; the profession has afforded me the opportunity to work with and make a difference for patients and their families. I've had the privilege of working alongside incredibly intelligent, caring, and capable client care representatives, veterinary assistants, technicians, and doctors and after 15 years, I still learn something new every shift.
Interests/goals: Nephrology: CKD & AKI, Emergency & Critical Care medicine, and Anesthesia. I am the current secretary for the Maine Veterinary Technician Association, the elected NAVTA representative for the state of Maine, and an active member of several AVECCTN committees. I am pursuing certification to become a RECOVER Instructor for veterinary professionals and pet parents as well as completing my fear free and low stress handling certification.
