Sara hails from a from a small hobby farm in the great state of Indiana. When she moved to Alaska with her family, she brought her passion for animals with her. In 2012 she graduated from the Matsu Veterinarian Assistant Program where she excelled. Once she graduated, she worked in animal emergency, general practice and at the Matsu Animal Shelter. Her passions in veterinary medicine are surgery, exotics, animal husbandry, client education and being a mentor to others.

In her off time, you can find Sara caring for her small home zoo including an African Grey Parrot, four dogs, three Sphynx cats, reptiles and her many, many ducks and chickens. Or you can find her hiking or just hanging out with her husband.
