"I always knew I wanted to be a veterinarian. Vocations like this one, you are born into. I have always been fascinated by medicine and the body's ability to repair and heal itself. As veterinarians, we are trained to examine and identify the disease but as owners we know what is wrong with our pets from the moment they get sick initially. The bond that we have with them allows us to provide support as we take care of a family member. Medicine helps, but I believe its our daily comfort, care and love what get them through. The medications, procedures, and recommendations I make are the same ones I would select for my own beloved pet. I believe in what is necessary to diagnose and provide the best outcome for my patients. I love seeing a pet and their owner—it is a remarkable connection, how they interact and love each other."
