Dr. McMaughan received her B.A. in Molecular Biology from UTD. She attended Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine starting in 1999 and received her DVM, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, in 2003. She is a member of the AVMA. Dr. McMaughan joined VCA Central Expressway Animal Hospital in May 2017.

What Dr. McMaughan likes most about her job is building relationships with her clients and patients. She is very empathetic, personable and is a great listener.

Dr. McMaughan is from the Dallas area, but has lived in a couple other places such as San Antonio and Australia! She lives with her husband and two beautiful daughters. They have one dog, Bren, and three cats, Bandit, Snowball and Rufus. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, hiking, biking, listening to music and watching movies.

When she is not at VCA Central Expressway taking care of your pets, Dr. McMaughan is also a teacher!
