Dr. Jewell Bremer is a Baltimore native who grew up in the small town of Creedmoor, NC. She attended Campbell University for her undergraduate studies, earning a degree in Biology while participating as a varsity women's basketball athlete. She went on to attend North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2020.
After graduation, Dr. Bremer worked in poultry medicine from 2020 to 2023, gaining valuable experience in population health, food safety, and agricultural veterinary practices. In 2023, she transitioned to small animal medicine for a change of pace and to return to the Triangle area. She has a strong interest in small animal soft tissue surgery and internal medicine and is passionate about providing high-quality, compassionate care to her patients.
VCA Cornerstone Animal Hospital is excited to welcome Dr. Bremer to the team in June 2025.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Bremer enjoys knitting, fishing, and spending time with her husband, Trae, and their family. Both she and Trae are very involved in their church community. They are also excited to be expecting their first child in August of 2025.
