Dr. Ruth Dunning has been a valued member of the VCA Cottage Animal Hospital team for over a decade. Originally from Milwaukee, her lifelong love for animals and deep interest in medicine led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine—an achievement she proudly describes as one of the happiest moments of her life.
A graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Dunning brings both expertise and compassion to every patient she treats.
At home, Dr. Dunning shares her life with a lively crew of rescue pets: three cats—Fannie, Moe, and Francis—and a special pup named Crosby. Each one brings their own unique charm to her household.
When she's not at the hospital, Dr. Dunning enjoys spending time outdoors. Her favorite pastimes include hiking, kayaking, fishing, practicing Pilates, reading, and relaxing in her hammock.
