Dr. Pearson grew up in upstate NY and graduated with a B.S. in Wildlife Biology from Cornell University in 2000. After graduation she worked in research for a few years studying communication in songbirds, humpback whales and primates, and then entered the field of veterinary medicine as a technician. In 2008, Dr. Pearson earned her DVM from Tufts University and has been working as a veterinarian in central NJ since that time.
While she enjoys all aspects of general medicine, Dr. Pearson has a particular interest in pain management, anesthesia, surgery and small mammal medicine (e.g., rabbits, guinea pigs and pocket pets). In particular, she values the opportunity to establish long-standing relationships with clients and their pets based on mutual trust, respect and compassion.
While not at work, Dr. Pearson spends as much time as possible with her two little girls, Ariella and Nora, and her husband, Asif. Her furry family includes two mischievous felines, Zadie and Quest, and a sweet golden retriever, Charlie. When time permits, Dr. Pearson also thoroughly enjoys reading, hiking, scuba diving and travel.
