Heather grew up in Mercer County and graduated from Cook College at Rutgers University in 1996 with a BS in Animal Science/Laboratory Animal Science.

Over the last 30 years, Heather has worked in a variety of fields with animals. Early in her career, she worked in a number of local small animal and equine practices as a full time veterinary technician, worked as a pharmaceutical research assistant focusing on both human and animal health, and managed a large equine facility for a good portion of her career; training both horses and riders.

She returned to veterinary medicine in 2008 and joined VCA County Veterinary Hospital in 2018. As a technician, her primary interests are internal medicine, prevention medicine, and client education. Heather reports that joining County felt like she was joining a family that values the close doctor-client relationship in a supportive and caring environment.

When not in the office, Heather and her husband Artie spend their time on their Hunterdon County farm which is home to a couple of beef cows, horses, and 2 beloved labs – Riley & Ripley. She also enjoys traveling to warm oceanside spots, paddle boarding, and snorkeling.
