Heather originally started working in veterinary medicine at an animal shelter in Albany, NY and it made her realize she really wanted to work with animals. Heather graduated from Paul Smith's College with a bachelor's degree in wildlife science and held a few temporary wildlife jobs in South Dakota, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia before coming back to the Adirondacks. She started at High Peaks in 2014 and eventually graduated with her associate's degree in veterinary technology from Penn Foster's online program. In her free time Heather love to be outside, spending time with her dog, Sarge, hiking, canoe paddling, camping, skiing, snowmobiling, and traveling as much as I possibly can. If you are already a client with us at VCA High Peak it is sure that you have seen Heather's smile in your appointments! Our patients love to see Heather and she is greeted with all tail wags.
