Craig Kinshella has been the medical director of VCA Hillcrest Animal Hospital since 2002, with a special interest in dermatology and internal medicine.  Prior to that he ran his own clinic in Point Loma. He has been serving the San Diego animal community for over thirty years and is a lifelong San Diego resident.

Craig Kinshella has always had a love for animals. While attending San Diego State University, he began to further his commitment to animals by working at the San Diego Zoo. Dr. Kinshella believes in giving back to the community. He participates in Mission Hills community programs and offers his assistance to local nonprofit humane societies. Dr. Kinshella has written articles on animal healthcare and animal rights. His work has been published in San Diego newspapers, and he has been a talk show host on animal healthcare issues.
