Dr. Emily Franquin is a compassionate and skilled veterinarian dedicated to providing exceptional care to her patients. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tufts Veterinary School in 2013 and has since cultivated a diverse background in general practice, small mammal care, and behavioral medicine.
Dr. Franquin began her career in Massachusetts, where she spent five years as a general practitioner treating dogs, cats, and small mammals. She then joined Katonah Bedford Veterinary Center, where she worked for 3.5 years before pursuing her passion for veterinary behavior in a behavior-only practice. Over the next 2.5 years, she completed extensive coursework and hands-on training in behavioral medicine before returning to Katonah Bedford in October 2024.
With a strong commitment to patient-centered care, Dr. Franquin focuses on creating individualized treatment plans that support both the pet and their family. She strives to make every veterinary visit as positive and stress-free as possible while delivering the highest standard of medical care. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Franquin enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She shares her home with two beloved dogs—Nala, a sweet and loyal 4-year-old Labrador retriever, and Griffey, a goofy 5-year-old Labradoodle with a few anxiety challenges of his own.
A fun fact about Dr. Franquin: Before becoming a veterinarian, she was a music major who nearly pursued a career in opera!
