Dr. Christine Merrick is a Board Certified Oncologist at Katonah Bedford Veterinary Center. She is a Connecticut native who received her DVM from Colorado State University. Dr. Merrick went on to complete a one-year small-animal rotating internship at Auburn University in Auburn, AL and her veterinary oncology training continued with a one-year oncology internship at Georgia Veterinary Specialists in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Merrick completed her medical oncology residency at Bay Area Veterinary Specialists in the San Francisco Bay Area and obtained board-certification as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (DACVIM- Oncology). She stayed on with the group as a staff doctor following completion of her training before moving back to the East Coast. With a special interest in the human-animal bond, Dr. Merrick's primary focus is providing good quality time for patients and their owners. Following training in Rome, Italy, Dr. Merrick is one of the few boarded oncologists practicing electrochemotherapy, a novel approach to cancer treatment.
