Dr. Jessica Chin is a native of Brooklyn, New York, and completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Trinity College in Harford, CT. Dr. Chin then obtained her veterinary degree at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016 and went on to complete a rotating small animal internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Charlotte, NC. She was recruited to Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Starkville, MS, to continue her oncology training with a one-year internship. Dr. Chin completed her training with a medical oncology internship and residency at VCA Veterinary Care Referral Center in Albuquerque, NM.
Dr. Chin joined VCA Katonah Bedford Veterinary Center in 2022 as part of our oncology team. With a special interest in integrative medicine and geriatric care, she was trained in acupuncture with the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, which can be used in conjunction with chemotherapy to treat patients' discomfort, nausea and reduced appetite without daily medications. She also offers individual therapy using FidoCure's precision medicine platform and Stelfonta for mast cell tumors. When Dr. Chin is not working, she enjoys spending time with her adorable daughter, feisty miniature schnauzer, Mushu, and her cat, Joey Butter; as well as running and yoga.
