Dr. Jessica Chin is a native of Brooklyn, New York, and completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Trinity College in Harford, CT in 2012. Dr. Chin then completed her veterinary degree at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. She completed a rotating small animal internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Charlotte, NC, and then was recruited to Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Starkville, MS, to continue her oncology training. After completing this program, Dr. Chin joined the staff of VCA Veterinary Care Animal Hospital and Referral Center to serve as their first specialty dedicated intern in oncology, as well as seeing emergency patients. Dr. Chin completed a medical oncology residency at VCA Veterinary Care Referral Center in 2022.

When Dr. Chin is not working, she enjoys spending time with her adorable daughter, feisty miniature schnauzer, Mushu, and her cat, Joey Butter; as well as running and yoga.
