Dr. Kennedy is from Omaha, NE. During high school, she spent a lot of time at the Henry Doorly Zoo in the Zoo Academy program. She obtained her bachelor's degree in veterinary biomedical sciences from UNL. Her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree was obtained from the combined program between University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Iowa State University. Her career started in a local general practice for 6 years where she became competent in patient care, abdominal ultrasound, dentistry, and surgery. She transitioned to this hospital to expand her knowledge base and enjoys all aspects of emergency medicine. She also enjoys creating good relationships with the pet owners, general practice veterinarians, and their teams to provide the best outcomes for each patient. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, traveling the world, and always learning new things.
