Dr. Cindy Ortiz earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and joined VCA in January 2025. Originally from East Los Angeles, Dr. Ortiz has always had a strong passion for working with animals and feels grateful to care for them every day.
Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery—especially superficial skin procedures—where she enjoys helping pets by making those "lumps and bumps" disappear. She also has a keen interest in diagnostic imaging and enjoys interpreting radiographs and explaining findings in a clear, approachable way.
At home, Dr. Ortiz shares her life with a lively group of pets: Sip, a Pit Bull; Kamilla, a French Bulldog; Chiquita, a Chihuahua mix; Ripley, a domestic short-haired grey tabby; and Box Boy, a domestic long-haired orange tabby. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new areas around town, trying new restaurants, and visiting theme parks.
