Holding double majors in Mass Communications and Sociology from Piedmont College, she graduated with honors while also competing on the college soccer team. Commencing her veterinary career at the Atlanta Humane Society, she worked with behaviorally and medically fragile animals before joining VCA in June 2023. Melissa excels in working with fearful animals, newly adopted shelter pets, and bully breeds. Accompanied by Schroder, who joins her daily at work, they reside in Roswell.
