At VCA Olathe, we help pets live long, healthy and happy lives. We deliver the best medical care for pets and the best experience for pet owners.
Our veterinarians, technicians and other pet-friendly support staff are trained to the highest standards. Their thorough knowledge of the latest procedures and medications ensures that all our patients receive the best in preventive and healing care.
The VCA Olathe Animal Hospital has been providing quality health care for pets for over 3 decades serving the communities of Olathe, Overland Park, Lenexa, De Soto and Gardner and surrounding neighborhoods. At our hospital, your pet is part of our family, too. It is our goal to provide you and your pets the highest quality care available. All of the staff here recognizes the importance of the human-animal bond and promote and preserve that relationship between owners and their pets.
Our entire staff has joined our pet care team because of their love of the veterinary profession and the animals we treat. Customer service is a high priority here; we strive to get to know you, your family, and your pet(s) in order to fill your individual needs. Our veterinarians and staff are always willing to take the time to answer your questions and educate you on pet care in terms that you can understand, so that you may make informed decisions regarding the best choices for your pet.
We strive to be your full-service veterinary hospital to take care of the needs of your pet, from wellness exams to boarding to diets and supplies, we’re here for you!
Our facility includes six exam rooms, in-house laboratory and pharmacy, sterile surgical suite, dedicated treatment area with two dental wet tables, hospitalization ward and grooming salon. VCA Olathe Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital for dogs, cats and small mammals. Our hospital is equipped with advanced technology that enables us to offer exceptional veterinary care for our patients and service to our clients. We are proud to be AAHA accredited, which sets the standard of excellence in veterinary medicine and requires adherence to the organization's strict standards. We are also a Gold Cat Friendly Practice and Fear Free Certified Professionals.
The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) sets the standard for quality veterinary care for companion animals. As an accredited hospital, we voluntarily uphold the Association's high standards in 18 different areas and are routinely evaluated on over 900 different standards of veterinary care. Not all animal hospitals are accredited, and we are proud to be amongst only 12-15% of veterinary hospitals that hold this honor.
The Cat Friendly Practice® program is a leading movement to make veterinary care less stressful for cats and their caregivers. This global initiative is designed to elevate care for cats by assisting practices in developing calming, cat-friendly environments and reducing stress for felines before, during, and after their veterinary visit.
As veterinary professionals, we know that the stress and anxiety associated with taking a pet to the veterinarian is a significant reason why pets don't always receive the medical attention they need. Fear Free℠ veterinary visits reduce feelings of stress, resulting in a better experience for all involved, including pets, owners, and veterinary health care teams. Having a Fear Free℠ Certified Professional can help alleviate your pet's fear, anxiety, and stress when visiting our hospital.
Caring for pets means meeting a wide range of needs beyond health care. Fortunately, there’s a whole community of organizations and businesses eager to help.
Here’s where to meet the local groups that we recommend to our pet-loving families.
