Dr. Gary Lukacs grew up in Florida and graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. After graduation, he entered a mixed animal practice doing primarily dairy production medicine. Over the years, he gradually transitioned to all small animals. He joined our staff in 2002.

"I chose the veterinary profession because growing up, I watched my own pets get sick and wanted to understand and help them in some manner. The opportunity to work with such a wide variety of animals from pets to wildlife, the excitement of learning a new surgical technique or treatment, and sharing the good and difficult times with patient and client."
