I grew up in Syracuse, Nebraska on the family farm that raised cattle, corn, and soybeans. I acquired a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 2013, then attended the 2+2 program between University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Iowa State University for veterinary school. During the first two years of veterinary school, I was able to work with the great staff of VCA 80 and Dodge in Omaha, NE, as a veterinary assistant. In 2017, I graduated from Iowa State University with my DVM.
My husband and I have two pets: Penny, a 3-year-old Aussie; and Valkyrie, an 8-year-old Border Collie mix.
I enjoy every aspect of Veterinary Medicine and seize every opportunity to grow my knowledge, from vaccine appointments and serious illness to emergencies. My passion is dentistry and how important it is toward the overall health of all pets.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy training for half marathons, participating in recreational shooting (trap and target competition), gardening, visiting national parks, and watching our dear Nebraska Cornhuskers. When I can’t be outside, I will crochet various styles of blankets, enjoy a book, or enhance my culinary skills.
