I have always been connected to animals, I was in 4-H and FFA growing up, I showed chickens and rabbits, as well as being on the Parliamentary Procedure team that went to the State finals. I started in Veterinary medicine right out of High School as a kennel worker. After a while I was a veterinary assistant, receptionist, and then a licensed technician.  I took the VTNE after self study and using the "grandfather" clause to sit for the exam. I passed it on my first try. I have been with VCA Parkway  since 1999.  I have always enjoyed my work, I feel I help people by helping their pets live long healthy lives. I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and the one thing that has brought such a variety of people into my life are their pets, I have worked with large animal, small animal, pocket pets and exotics and the one commonality between them is the love of their pet. 

My Husband and I have 3 cats,  Blackie, Gonzo and Frankie, and one dog Simba. We spend our time riding our motorcycles, working in the yard and doing home improvement projects.
