At VCA Ponti Animal Hospital, we help pets live long, healthy and happy lives. We deliver the best medical care for pets and the best experience for pet owners.
Our veterinarians, technicians and other pet-friendly support staff are trained to the highest standards. Their thorough knowledge of the latest procedures and medications ensures that all our patients receive the best in preventive and healing care.
VCA Ponti Animal Hospital was established in 1977 in Otis Orchards, Washington for the treatment and care of a diverse population of animals and wildlife in the greater Spokane and Idaho Panhandle areas.
In 1999, Ponti Animal Clinic became Ponti Veterinary Hospital and added a modern 6000+ square feet facility for small animal, exotic pet and wildlife to better meet the needs of our growing number of clients. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local referral practices when specialized diagnostic procedures are required. Our facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house digital x-ray and ultrasound capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor boarding kennels with outdoor exercise areas.
Our facility has a spacious reception/discharge area, four comfortable examination rooms, a large well equipped diagnostic and technical procedure area, a modern surgery, pharmacy, laboratory, ICU/recovery area, X-ray room, and isolation ward. Our boarding facility has 16 kennels for hospital support and general boarding, 2 wards for smaller pets and a wildlife support area.
At VCA Ponti Animal Hospital, we strive to offer not only sound advice, but also optimal veterinary care, thus allowing you the enjoyment of your companion for a maximum number of years. Our job is not only to treat your pet when he or she isn't feeling well, but also to help you learn how to keep your best friend happy and healthy.
Caring for pets means meeting a wide range of needs beyond health care. Fortunately, there’s a whole community of organizations and businesses eager to help.
Here’s where to meet the local groups that we recommend to our pet-loving families.
