Emily Nash

Emily is from Murfreesboro, TN, and was introduced to veterinary medicine after getting involved in FFA. She went to the University of Tennessee at Martin and graduated in 2021 with a BS in Animal Science with a concentration in Veterinary Health Technology. Her externship for the vet tech program led her to a general practice in Knoxville, where she was then hired, and moved up from learning an assistant role, to working in the ICU area with hospitalized patients, and then to assisting anesthesia for surgical and dental procedures. During that time, she passed the VTNE to become a licensed technician, which opened doors to do more of what she loves. Family brought her to Chattanooga in the latter half of 2024, where she started her journey with VCA RIVER and working in the ER/ICU. Emily has a passion for patient care, learning, and expanding on new skills, and this role is well suited to that. If there's any cat, or lab, available to love on, that is most likely where you'll find her during her down time.
