Born and raised in Quito, Ecuador, Dr. Sharon Paredes discovered her passion for animals at an early age. At 17, she moved to the United States to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Florida and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George's University, completing her clinical year at the University of Florida.
With a special interest in surgery and dermatology, Dr. Paredes is dedicated to providing exceptional care through hard work, compassion, and clear communication. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she takes pride in connecting with families in their preferred language, ensuring every client feels understood and supported.
At home, she shares her life with two beloved dogs: a playful French Bulldog and a mixed-breed rescue she adopted during veterinary school. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, planning exciting travel adventures, and spending quality time with family and friends.
For Dr. Paredes, becoming a veterinarian was more than a career choice; it was a calling. She is excited to meet you and your pets, and she looks forward to building lasting relationships with the families she serves.
