Our Team

Dr. Delicia Lakhan originally from Trinidad and Tobago.She graduated from Barry University with a Bachelors in Biology in 2000. In 2006 she earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. She is also a USDA accredited veterinarian.

Dr. Lakhan is particularly interested in preventative medicine, internal medicine and client education. She believes that an informed pet owner is essential in ensuring that our patients get the care they need.

Her cat, Lily, (a rescue cat from hurricane Katrina) keeps her happy at home by sitting in her lap and she never misses...

Josh has been with VCA for almost 9 years. He started at the front desk for about 2 years when he then became a technician which is where he really found his love for his work. After 6 years he was offered an opportunity to become Hospital Manager here at VCA Silver Lakes. His love for his work is obvious and the compassion he shows each animal is as if they were apart of his own family.
