Alexis

Credentialed Hospital Manager

LVT

Alexis was born in Mount Vernon, Washington, but grew up in central and southern California. She attended the University of California, Santa Cruz (just south of San Francisco), where she received her Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology. Her main scientific interests are research based on isotope analysis and fisheries management. After graduating, Alexis spent the next two years in Alaska working on commercial fishing boats for the National Marine Fisheries Service as an observer, collecting management data. She needed a change of pace and to be around living animals, which brought her to VCA Alderwood Companion in 2014!

Alexis spends most of her free time traveling, hiking, fishing, hunting, discovering new craft breweries, and figuring out how to do all these things with two toddlers. Currently, she has a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Stilly, who is quite stubborn and loves the outdoors, just like the rest of the family.

As of late 2024, Alexis transitioned from being one of the technician supervisors into the hospital manager position. She is excited to see what new challenges arise and discover all the new ways she can promote and further the excellence of care and service provided by VCA Alderwood.
