I wanted to be involved in veterinary medicine since before I can remember. I've always had an interest in animals, especially in what they do and how they think. After graduating from high school in 2016, I found myself at Carrington College a few months later registering for the 2 year Veterinary Technician program. After months of clinical rotations at various local hospitals, VCA AOP was my final hospital rotation and by a stroke of luck, I was offered a part-time position in September of 2018. I currently only have one pet, a black medium haired cat named Sweet Pea, she's the first cat that I've had since she was a kitten and the first cat that I've owned on my own. When I'm not at work I'm either reading or writing, or catching up on much needed sleep. I also enjoy going out with my friends and spending time with my family on my days off. What I enjoy the most about my job is seeing the pets that originally came in sick, leaving here feeling better and being able to go home to their families. In the future, I can see myself specializing in small animal behavior or neurology.
