Dr. Elana Braz is a veterinarian at VCA Animal Healing Center in Langhorne, PA, where she provides thoughtful, individualized care through an integrative approach that blends holistic therapies with modern veterinary medicine. Known for her calm, attentive style, Dr. Braz takes time to understand each pet’s needs and work closely with families to develop treatment plans that support comfort, healing, and long-term wellness.
She believes the most effective care considers the whole pet, including physical health, emotional well-being, and the important bond pets share with their families. By combining traditional medical knowledge with complementary therapies, Dr. Braz helps pets experience improved comfort, mobility, and quality of life.
“I love observing the deep connection between animals and their owners. Helping them heal, whether through acupuncture, Reiki, or modern veterinary medicine, is incredibly rewarding. I truly believe in caring for the whole pet, not just the condition.”
Dr. Braz has a special interest in integrative medicine and the ways complementary therapies can support traditional veterinary care. She is certified in veterinary acupuncture through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) and is a Reiki Master, allowing her to provide therapies that support both physical healing and emotional balance for pets.
Her approach often includes acupuncture and Reiki as part of a broader treatment plan designed to relieve discomfort, improve mobility, and promote relaxation. These therapies can be especially beneficial for pets experiencing chronic pain, mobility challenges, stress-related conditions, or age-related changes.
Dr. Braz earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (VMD) from the University of Pennsylvania in 1990. She joined VCA Animal Healing Center in 2002 and has spent more than two decades caring for pets throughout Langhorne and the greater Bucks County community with compassion and dedication.
“Healing is about more than medicine alone. When we support the whole pet and work closely with families, we can help animals feel more comfortable and live healthier lives.”
Dr. Braz values building lasting relationships with the families she serves and enjoys helping pet owners better understand the role integrative therapies can play in supporting lifelong health and well-being.
