Dr. Encarnacion is a Massachusetts native who earned her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She then attended Ross University in Saint Kitts for veterinary school, graduating in 2024 after completing a year of clinical rotations at Kansas State University.
Dr. Encarnacion is the proud owner of two sun conures, Rio and Tokyo, as well as an island dog named Woody, whom she adopted while in veterinary school. Before pursuing her veterinary degree, she spent a summer as a student intern at the New England Wildlife Center and volunteered at the MSPCA Nevins Farm for five years, gaining invaluable experience in animal care and welfare.
With a passion for working with a wide variety of animals—from small and fluffy to scaly and feathery—Dr. Encarnacion enjoys providing compassionate care for all kinds of critters. Outside of work, she loves dancing, swimming, traveling, and spending quality time with Woody while watching movies and reading.
