Urethral Stent Placement

Urethral stent placement is a technique used for obstructive urinary tract diseases. Most commonly this technique is used in cases of cancer of the lower urinary tract where it may improve quality of life and increase survival times in cases where cancer is not resectable and not responding to other treatments. When patients experience difficulty urinating, and even a small percentage can develop complete urinary tract obstruction. Urethral stenting is an effective, minimally invasive procedure that can offer immediate relief.
