Dr. Mackley graduated veterinary school at the University of Tennessee. She then went on to complete an internship in small animal emergency medicine, internal medicine and surgery in Mesa Arizona. After practicing small animal emergency for a few years in Washington, she began practicing general medicine. Her areas of interest include emergency medicine, soft tissue surgery, fear free gentle handling techniques, and pain management.

Dr. Mackley is married and has a daughter and two stepsons. She has two cats and one very special needs dog. Outside of work her interests include camping, motorcycle riding, cooking and travel.

Dr. Mackley states, "I chose VCA Apache Junction Animal Hospital as my home because I love the area, especially the wide-open desert. I look forward to getting to know the community and caring for their pets for years to come."
