Dr. Wischmeyer joined VCA Arboretum View Animal Hospital in August 2025, following her graduation from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024 and additional advanced training at BluePearl North Hills in Pittsburgh throughout 2024-2025. She brings a special interest and growing expertise in both cardiac and ophthalmic cases.
Originally from Franklin Park, IL, Dr. Wischmeyer is energized most by meeting new animal patients each day—and the people who love them! She feels most at home among fellow animal lovers, making VCA Arboretum View the perfect place for her.
When not caring for pets, Dr. Wischmeyer enjoys exploring the outdoors—especially through camping, hiking, and cycling. At home, she shares her life with two big mixed-breed dogs, Daisy and Gus, and three adventurous alley cats —Frank, Heinz, and Scout— who all work together to keep her on her toes!
