Dr. Correia grew up and went to school in the Pacific Northwest. He received his DVM from Washington State University in 1985. Upon his graduation, Dr. Correia came to Redding to work at VCA Asher Animal Hospital. Over the years he has attended various Continuing Education courses and spent time with veterinary surgeons to pursue his interest in veterinary surgery. He is now our orthopedic and technical soft tissue surgeon.

In 1997 Dr. Correia became a partner and Medical Director at VCA Asher Animal Hospital. In his spare time you can find him hiking local trails and peaks. He also enjoys spending time with his family and their dog, Ruby, a corgi, and 2 cats, Wilson and Ivy.
