Heather

Hospital Manager

Heather joined the VCA AVH Animal Hospital team in 2020. Growing up in the Lehigh Valley on a family farm, caring for animals has always been in her blood. She loves the human-animal relationship and that is what fuels her passion in veterinary medicine. It is not uncommon for you to see Heather helping at the front desk, comforting your animal during a blood draw or nail trim, or taking care of you during an appointment.

In 1998 she started at her first veterinary hospital. Her experience as a receptionist, veterinary assistant, and assistant manager, gave her the skills she needed to become a hospital manager. She never forgets where she started and enjoys helping her associates grow in their careers in veterinary medicine.

Her pets, Bandit, Splash, and a variety of reptiles and farm animals, remind her of the rewarding nature of a pet's love. She understands how important pets are to a family and wants to be there to support owners throughout the life of their pet.

When Heather is not at work, her family enjoys fostering for Road Trip Rescue. As a volunteer with the rescue, she helps with neutering and dental procedures, and other medical needs to care for the rescue's fosters. It is also not uncommon to see her helping at vaccine clinics to serve areas in need of veterinary care. You can also find her camping, hiking, or kayaking with her husband, three children, and two grandsons.
