Dr. Yan grew up in Wellington, Florida. She got her undergraduate degrees at University of Florida in Microbiology and Neuroscience. She then went on to veterinary school at Washington State University. She started work at a general practice in Havre de Grace, MD, and then moved to Naples, Florida to live with her husband. During her time in Southwest Florida she worked as a relief veterinarian, became certified in acupuncture and Chinese medicine by the Chi Institute, worked at Banfield Pet Hospital, and worked at Humane Society Naples. After living in Naples for four years, she moved to Tampa to join our team.

Dr. Yan enjoys riding horses, spending time with her husband, children and two dogs, and enjoying all that the Tampa area has to offer. She hopes to become ABVP certified in small animal practice, a certification that takes additional training and testing in the field.
