Born and raised in the Birmingham area, Dr. Shane Manasco's path to becoming a veterinarian was fueled by a lifelong connection to animals. His career has taken him across several states, providing a diverse clinical background before his return to the Magic City.
He earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, he gained valuable experience working in a small animal practice in Wilmington, North Carolina. Before returning to the South, Dr. Manasco practiced in Michigan. His time there left a lasting impression on the local community, where he is remembered fondly by former clients and their pets. Throughout his various stops, he has maintained a dedicated focus on feline medicine and developed a professional passion for parasitology.
Dr. Manasco recently brought his expertise back home, joining the team at VCA Becker Animal Hospital in Homewood, Alabama. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Manasco loves watching movies and spending time with friends and family. His other personal passions include reading and an ever-growing collection of music but he can usually be found hanging out with his favorite felines, Tsunami and Salami.
