Shannon Metcalf, Staff Veterinarian

DVM, Tuskegee University

Dr. Shannon Metcalf is a native of West Virginia and received her Bachelor's of Science degree at West Virginia University in 2007. Dr. Metcalf moved to Alabama and received her Master's in Animal Science at Tuskegee University in 2010. From there, she went on to complete her Veterinary degree at Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2014. After graduation; Dr. Metcalf moved with her husband to Austin, Texas and started her veterinary career in 2014. In her free time, she likes to travel and spend time with her husband and 3 dogs, including two Dachshunds (Wally and Bella) and German Shepherd (Diesel). Dr. Metcalf also enjoys photography and being anywhere with a beach. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but has a special interest in preventative medicine, behavior, and internal medicine.
