Andres Arguelles Morales joined VCA Emergency Animal Hospital & Referral Center in 2023. After spending over a year as a client service representative, he transitioned to the Cardiology department, where he plays a key role in coordinating care for our patients. During his time as a CSR, Andres discovered his passion for animal medicine and developed a talent for guiding clients through stressful moments with empathy and care.
Andres graduated from UCLA in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science, specializing in computing. His professional interests span all aspects of veterinary medicine, and he values the continuous learning opportunities his role provides. Andres enjoys applying his academic background to enhance patient care, using his perspective as a pet owner and understanding of human biases to ensure the best possible outcomes for each patient.
Outside of work, Andres cherishes time with his wife and their pets. To unwind, he enjoys playing video games on his PS5 and riding his electric skateboard. While he loves the sunny San Diego weather, he also appreciates cozy moments cuddling with his cats under a heated blanket on colder days.
Fun Fact: Andres was the starting goalie for his high school lacrosse team, showcasing his dedication and quick reflexes even back then!
