Emily Beavers
Staff Veterinarian DVM
Dr. Emily Beavers, DVM, graduated from The Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island in May of 2021. She has been with us here at VCA French Creek since June of 2021 and she has grown so much in her time here since.

Why I Do What I Do: Dr. Beavers made the decision to pursue veterinary medicine at a young age; like many others in this field. She grew up in Calvert County Maryland, where there were multiple nature reserves and conservation parks where she would volunteer with her Girl Scout troop to build habitats or observe the animals present in the area. She knew that she wanted to help any animals that she could in any way possible. She was lucky to grow up in a family that had a large number of family pets from dogs to cats (that she pressured her allergic father into adopting), and spent many hours on a family-friend's horse farm.

Dr. Beavers has a passion for feline care and practicing "fear-free" medicine in hope to make all visits here to the hospital as pleasant as possible. She truly tries to treat all patients that she sees as she would her own pets. Dr. Beavers strives to see a wider variety of species in the future, but right now just attends to our feline and canine patients.

Dr. Beavers currently resides in Chester County with her rescue hound dog, Killian, and two rescue cats, Liadan (a very dog-like cat) and Roux (a shy, tri-pawed kiddo). Dr. Beavers is happy to have found an extended veterinary family at VCA French Creek where she feels welcomed with opened arms from the staff, clients, and patients alike.
