Dr. Mara Schnayer was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved with her family to California when she was a child. She attended California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Animal Science. She then went on to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Oregon State University. Dr. Schnayer has been in private practice since her graduation in 2003 and she recently moved back to Illinois with her husband and son. Mary has been in the veterinary field for many years. Being farm raised, she has always had a passion for animals. She enjoys the many different aspects of her job and likes to help clients understand the needs of their pets and how to keep them healthy. Mary truly enjoys the bonds that she has created with the clients and her fellow staff members. She has two senior cats at home, “Barnaby” and “Scooter.” In her off time, she enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
