Dr. Kristin Michael is a 2008 graduate from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Since graduation, she has been practicing in and around the Birmingham metropolitan area in the field of small animal medicine and surgery. She especially loves the focuses of internal medicine, dermatology, and soft tissue surgery. She joined VCA Liberty Animal Hospital in 2017, and stepped into the role of Medical Director in April 2021.

Dr. Michael is a native of Alabama, having grown up in Mountain Brook, and graduated from Mountain Brook High School in 1997. She received her undergraduate degrees from Furman University in 2001, then went on to pursue work in research in the field of immunology at Emory University.

Dr. Michael resides in Indian Springs with her husband (Brandon), five children, and 3 dogs. She loves watching and helping her children grow, is an avid gardener, and loves a good SEC football game. In her spare time, you may even find her relaxing at the lake.
