Dr. Melanie Hoffman was raised in the Southwest suburbs of Chicago. She received her BS in Integrative Biology and DVM from University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. Dr. Hoffman began her veterinary career working as a veterinary assistant at a humane society where she developed a special interest in feline medicine. Her other interests include internal medicine, surgery, and emergency medicine. Dr. Hoffman lives with her fiancé in the Edgewater neighborhood. She has a passion for music and loves volunteering in the community. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her furry family which includes Spanky the Chihuahua and Zoey a loveable mutt.
