Dr. Tanaka received her Bachelor of Science degree and graduated with honors from North Carolina State University, where she also attended veterinary school. After graduating, she completed her internship in Norwalk and Shelton, Connecticut. In addition to emergency experience gained by working at specialty and emergency facilities, Dr. Tanaka has interests in dermatology, wildlife and exotic medicine. She also has a special place in her heart for cats and turtles! Dr. Tanaka was born in London, England and grew up around the world in Germany, Japan, Georgia and North Carolina. She is also fluent in Japanese. She has now relocated to Long Island with her cat Simone.
